报告人简介:李芯芯,博士,现为南方科技大学海洋科学与工程系助理教授,博士生导师。2013年获得德州农工大学(Texas A&M University)化学海洋学博士学位。主要利用稳定及放射性碳同位素、生物标志物(例如木质素)、微生物种群动态和代谢过程等方法研究从河口向海沟各海洋生态系统中有机碳的生物有机地球化学循环过程,及其与海洋富营养化、缺氧效应和全球气候变化的相互关系。在海洋学科知名学术期刊Marine Chemistry、JGR-Biogeosciences、Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta发表12篇论文和一篇国际海水营养盐标准报告(共76名作者)。

报告简介:Organic carbon biogeochemistry is one of the most important scientific questions in oceanography considering ocean as one of the biggest carbon reservoirs in the earth planet. Two study cases from estuaries to trenches were presented in this talk. 1) Elemental, stable C, N isotope, radiocarbon isotope (Δ14C), black carbon (BC) analysis, and chemical biomarkers were utilized to study the effect of the sources, short-term events and physical processes on the composition, abundance, and age of the surface sedimentary OC in East China Sea (ECS) from 2009 to 2010. 2) Pelagic OC cycling in Trench is unique to study OC budget in complete ocean layers from epipelagic all the way to hadal pelagic environment. We proposed to apply organic geochemical analysis, in combining with measurement on microbial chemoautotrophic carbon fixation and respiration rate, we aim to first quantitatively analyze the carbon input from net microbial carbon fixation processes to trench sedimentary OC pool.
